Chipotle Salsa and Plum Sauce

"Wow your guests with this tasty flatbread"


Flour                                             1.8kg

Yeast                                             20g

Salt                                                pinch

Olive Oil                                         25ml

Sugar                                            15g

Water                                            1.125ml


Frenchmaid Chipotle Salsa       1 cup

Cherry tomatoes                          1 punnet cut in half

Mini peppers                                 3 roasted

Sliced jalapeno                              50g

Bocconcini                                     400g

Frenchmaid Plum Sauce            200ml

Prosciutto                                       12 slices

Basil leaves                                     2 tbsp

To make the flatbread, add the flour, sugar and yeast to a mixing bowl.  Add the water and mix to a dough.


Cover with a damp cloth and leave in a warm place until the dough doubles in size.  Beat in the olive oil, then divide into four evenly sized balls.  Roll each ball into a rectangle shape and brush with olive oil and rest until they double in size.  Bake at 160 degrees Celsius for approx 6 minutes.

To make the topping, spread each flatbread with a thin layer of Frenchmaid Chipotle Salsa, arrange the cherry tomatoes, jalapeno and Bocconcini on top.  Bake until the flatbread starts to colour.

Remove from the oven, then garnish with prosciutto and drizzle with Frenchmaid Plum Sauce, sprinkle with and torn basil leaves.
