Beginning in 1973

Many great dishes are finished with a flourish of sauce - and our story begins with one: an authentic, delicious mayonnaise. Over 50 years ago, Chef Maarten Groen arrived from the Netherlands and drew on his European heritage to craft a mayonnaise Kiwis quickly fell in love with.

 

From that single recipe, we’ve grown into a trusted manufacturer of sauces, dressings, and condiments - proudly crafting our products in Wellington, New Zealand, while staying true to the flavour heritage that started it all.

Today, Groenz is known for delivering flavour solutions that consistently perform. From our iconic sauces to custom-developed formulations, we work closely with customers to create flavours that taste great while standing up to the demands of commercial kitchens. Our foodservice brands – Frenchmaid, Kiwi Style and In House Systems - are built on reliability, ease of use, and a deep understanding of what kitchens need to run smoothly.

Our purpose-built production facility in Wellington, New Zealand is the hub of our food manufacturing, where we craft consistent, high-quality sauces, dressings, and condiments for the foodservice industry.

 

Across New Zealand and Australia, we have established warehouse and distribution facilities, supported by trusted logistics partners, ensuring our foodservice products are stocked, available, and delivered efficiently wherever they’re needed.

 

Whether serving local kitchens in New Zealand or national restaurant chains, QSRs, caterers and and manufacturers across Australia, Groenz combines reliable production with a strong trans-Tasman supply network.
